Chicago Blackhawks Announce 2 to Rockford IceHogs

The Blackhawks travel to Pittsburgh to face the Penguins on Sunday at 7 p.m. in teh PPG Paints Arena

The Chicago Blackhawks announced Saturday morning they have assigned forwards Andreas Martinsen and Dylan Sikura to the Rockford IceHogs of the American Hockey League.

 "Martinsen had four points (1G, 3A) in 24 games with the Blackhawks this season," according to the press releasr. "He played in 64 regular-season games with the IceHogs during the 2017-18 campaign, tallying 28 points (12G, 16A), while adding two goals and three helpers in 13 Calder Cup Playoff contests."

This season, Sikura spent time with both Chicago and Rockford.

"In 11 games with the Blackhawks, he registered three assists," the release stated. "Prior to being recalled on Dec. 12, 2018, the 23-year-old paced the IceHogs in goals (9) and points (18)."
