Change of Clothes Delays Drew Peterson Court

Drew Peterson's lawyers said his clothes were too small

UPDATE: 12 Jurors Selected for Trial...

Clothes make the man and apparently the defendant.

The second day of jury selection in the Drew Peterson murder trial was delayed for about a half-hour after Peterson's lawyers said his pants were too small.

The former Bolingbrook police sergeant took about 15 minutes to get into new slacks provided for him, and court resumed around 9:30 a.m.

He showed up in a much more "fitting" pants and jacket before another set of potential jurors were vetted.

Eight jurors were chosen Monday, the first day of jury selection. Peterson has awaited trial in prison for three years after his arrest. He is charged in the murder of his third wife, Kathleen Savio.
