Car Burglar Stole iPod, Skipped Cubs Tix: Cops

Two Cubs tickets were still in the car's glove compartment after the break-in

A decline in ticket sales, attendance and beer sales aren't the only signs of dragging Cubs appeal this season.

A burglar who broke into a car this week in Wilmette stole an iPod but passed over two Cubs tickets in the vehicle's glove compartment, according to the Chicago Tribune

The vehicle was left unlocked in a driveway on the 1000 block of Miami Road in the northern Chicago suburb from 6 p.m. Sunday to about 8:05 a.m. Monday, police said.

The resident discovered the iPod missing Monday morning and saw the vehicle's compartments had been opened and sorted through.

On the same block, another unlocked vehicle had been entered and rummaged through the same night, but nothing was reported stolen.
