Bullets pierced through a window at Northwestern Memorial Hospital early Friday morning, prompting a large police response in the area, authorities said.
Officers responded to a call of shots fired just after 4:15 a.m. in the 200 block of East Erie. There, they found shell casings and two bullet holes in a window at the hospital.
Police said no one was reported injured in the shooting. A grey SUV may be involved, authorities said.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
