Boy, 11, Injured in Overnight Drive-By Shooting

Some of the shots fired went through a window of a first-floor apartment

An 11-year-old boy suffered injuries during an overnight drive-by shooting, police said.

Some of the shots fired at a crowd standing near Jackson Boulevard and Western Avenue went through a window of a first-floor apartment, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The boy, his mother and other kids were sleeping inside, police said. The boy was cut by shattered glass and treated on the scene.

The shots were fired around 2 a.m. Thursday from a maroon minivan outside the St. Stephens Terrace apartment complex, police said.

No one is in custody for the shooting.
