A 29-year-old man who died after being pulled from Lake Michigan near Oak Street Beach last week has been identified.
Francisco Armendariz was pulled from the water about 4 a.m. Wednesday near the 1000 block of North Lake Shore Drive, and taken to Northwestern Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 5:01 a.m., according to police and the Cook County medical examiner’s office.
An autopsy for Armendariz, who lived in the 3700 block of West 115th Street, did not rule on cause and manner of death pending further investigation.
Area Central detectives are investigating.
