Blackhawks' Patrick Kane Injured in Tuesday's Game Against Panthers

Chicago Blackhawks winger Patrick Kane was forced to leave Tuesday night’s game against the Florida Panthers after suffering an upper body injury in a nasty collision along the boards.

Kane, who is the Blackhawks' leading scorer this season, was carrying the puck along the boards when he was hit from behind by Florida's Alex Petrovic.

The collision sent Kane sprawling into the boards, where he hit his shoulder and rib area.

Kane immediately left the game and went back to the team's dressing room. He will not be returning to the game, the team reported.

We will keep you posted on any developments as they become available.
