The Vice President will seek contributions from major donors at two receptions

Vice President Joe Biden argeted some major donors in Chicago Tuesday as part of his fundraising efforts for the Obama/Biden 2012 re-election campaign.

Biden arrived in Chicago this afternoon at the downtown Sheraton at a reception where tickets sold for $500 per person. Nearly 200 people attended the event.

Later Tuesday, Biden attends dinner at the Bucktown home of Rajiv Fernando, CEO of Chopper Trading.

Tickets to attend the dinner range from $10,000 for guest status to $35,800 for host status, and 40 people are reportedly on the guest list.  The two events will fund the Obama Victory Fund with about $500,000.
