Author Claims Lee Harvey Oswald Didn't Plan To Shoot JFK

Judyth Vary Baker stops in Chicago with Jesse Ventura to claim Oswald wasn't planning to kill President Kennedy

Former Minnesota Gov. Jesse Ventura on Tuesday joins the self-proclaimed former girlfriend of Lee Harvey Oswald to make a claim that should pique the interest of conspiracy theorists.

Judyth Vary Baker, who says she was Oswald's lover during the summer of 1963, claims Oswald was not planning to kill President John F. Kennedy and is calling on the government to hear the purported truth about the assassination.

Government investigations show Oswald acted alone when he shot at Kennedy’s motorcade on Nov. 22, 1963, killing the 35th president.

There have been disputes over whether Baker was indeed romantically linked to Oswald. She has been touring the U.S. since Nov. 7 to promote her book, "Me & Lee: How I Came to Know, Love and Lose Lee Harvey Oswald."

It's not entirely clear why Ventura is involved, though the former professional wrestler has ranked Baker's book among his favorite conspiracy reads. Ventura currently hosts the show "Conspiracy Theory" on TruTV.
