The Art Institute of Chicago plans to project a 1964 Andy Warhol film from the museum onto the Aon Center.
Warhol's film, "Empire" --a single, eight-hour nighttime take of the famous New York building--will shine across Millennium Park to promote the Institute's new exhibition: Light Years: Conceptual Art and the Photograph, 1964-1977.
The outdoor film will be shown from 6 p.m. Friday to 2 a. m. early Saturday. A grant from the Graham Foundation for Advanced Studies in the Fine Arts made the projection possible, according to a statement released by the Art Institute.
The exhibit opens to the public Dec. 13.
