It appears Kanye West may not actually be teaching at the Art Institute of Chicago, despite his earlier tweets.
In a series of tweets Sunday night, West, who is from Chicago, announced he "will teach a course at the Art Institute of Chicago and the American Academy of Art."
But the School of the Art Institute of Chicago said it has no plans to have West teach at the facility, at least as of now.
"We're flattered that Mr. West would have an interest in teaching emerging artists and designers at the School of the Art Institute of Chicago; however, Mr. West is not currently teaching at SAIC, and at this time, there are no plans for him to do so," a spokesperson for the institute said Monday.
The tweet was one of many about Chicago Sunday night.
"The Stony Island Arts Bank is an inspiring place for organizations, entrepreneurs and creatives to work and collaborate," Tregg Duerson, COO of Rebuild Foundation, said in a statement. "We’re honored that Kanye has found so much inspiration in the work that Rebuild Foundation is doing in Chicago and beyond, and we welcome others to visit this unique space."
Still, the Chicago tweets continued for West.
“We’re doing Chicago Comedy Jam. We’re going to restore the Regal Theatre,” he also tweeted.
Neither could be confirmed as of Monday morning.
West also made headlines for a series of tweets last week after he took to the social media platform to apologize to Drake and address their feud.
