Thief Busted After Stealing Child-Tracking Cell Phone

Police busted a man suspected in nine burglaries after he allegedly stole a cell phone with a child-tracking feature, according to the Sun-Times. Jeffrey Chapa, 33, of Stickney, broke into a car in Riverside, took the phone, and was arrested minutes later.

Man Gets Jail Time for 100 m.p.h. in a 40 m.p.h. Zone
Naperville
A 36-year-old Naperville man who was driving almost 100 m.p.h. in a 40 m.p.h. zone near a residential community said he was speeding because he had to get to a restroom, according to ChicagoBreakingNews.com. Once booked, the man did not request to use the facilities. If convicted, he faces up to a year in jail.

Parolee Rapes Woman in Lincoln Park

After serving a 30-year stint in prison for rape, Julius Anderson, 59, stands charged with criminal sexual assault, aggravated kidnapping, home invasion and burglary in connection to a Sept. 1 rape in Lincoln Park, according to a Sun-Times report. Anderson allegedly snuck up on a woman who was wearing headphones and held a knife to her throat, forced her into her boyfriends nearby apartment, tied her up and sexually assaulted her for about an hour. The boyfriend was not home.
