Anthony Rizzo Offers Free Tickets to Thursday's Cubs Game

Jon Lester will take the mound Thursday when the Cubs battle the Brewers

The Chicago Cubs are the hottest draw in town at the moment, and one of the team’s most popular players is looking to help fans get into the Friendly Confines.

That player is first baseman Anthony Rizzo, who is having an MVP-caliber season and is arguably the best hitter in a lineup full of big boppers. The star took to Twitter on Tuesday afternoon to offer fans the chance to come see the team play the Milwaukee Brewers on Thursday afternoon, and all they have to do is hop on Twitter for their chance to win:

The Cubs are one of the hottest teams in baseball at the moment, winning 10 of their last 11 games and building up a three and a half game lead over the San Francisco Giants in the National League wild card race. Over the next two weeks, they will get to play a group of teams that are all out of playoff contention, giving themselves a chance to build up their lead even more.

As if all of that isn’t incentive enough to try to win tickets to the game, the pitching matchup makes it even more enticing: staff ace Jon Lester will be taking the hill for the Cubs in the game against the Brewers.
