If the true measure of an athlete’s popularity is having a food named after them, then it can be said that Chicago Cubs first baseman Anthony Rizzo has truly made it.
That food is the Sizzlin’ Sicilian pizza, which is available at Giordano’s restaurants in Illinois. Rizzo ventured to the Rush Street location of the popular chain on Thursday and learned how to make his signature dish.
To make things even sweeter for the customers that ordered the pizza, Rizzo paid for their meals:

Rizzo and the Cubs had the day off Thursday as they prepare for a weekend series against the Arizona Diamondbacks, but the first baseman had better hope his generosity gives him some good mojo: he went 2-for-10 with five strikeouts during the Cubs’ last series against the Reds at Wrigley Field.
