Comic Tom Flanigan is leaving the Second City for a job in the Big Apple.
A member of The Absolute Best Friggin’ Time of Your Life, a Second City e.t.c. show, Flanigan will join the writing staff at Saturday Night Live, the Chicago Tribune reports.
Flanigan is a native of New York State and a co-founder of the science-minded sketch group Galileo Players.
He is the third cast member to leave the Chicago troupe for a writing job at SNL in the last 12 months, joining recent Second City alums Patrick O’Brien and Hannibal Buress.
