Angry Customer Goes on Electrifying Power Trip

Teen returned to store with Taser gun

When an angry customer returned to a Joliet supermarket, employees were shocked.

Juan Vargas, 18, had been asked to leave the Gonzales Supermarket on Collins Street on Friday for undisclosed reasons. At about 5 p.m. though, he returned with a Taser gun and used it on the store's 33-year-old butcher.

There's no indication why he chose to shock the butcher, or if he succeeded.

Currently, no injuries have been reported.

Varges was charged with battery, criminal trespassing and unlawful use of a weapon.  Authorities say Vargas also goes by the name Carlos Rios.

Matt Bartosik is a Chicago native and a social media sovereign.
