Angry Chicago Dogs Manager Literally Steals Third Base, Hands it to Young Fan

After the visibly angry manager of the Chicago Dogs was ejected from a game Tuesday, he did something unexpected.

Butch Hobson literally stole the third base bag.

The game against the Fargo-Moorhead RedHawks was only in the second inning when Hobson was ejected after becoming upset that a runner on third wasn’t called out.

Hobson began yelling at the umpire, who sent him off the field, video of the game showed.

Hobson continued arguing before he walked over to the base, pulled the bag out of the ground and handed it to a young fan.

The child was visibly excited by the move, but a ballpark staffer was seen in footage taking the bag back so the game could continue, despite boos from the crowd.
