Police responded to North Avenue Beach Friday afternoon for reports of a large disturbance, marking the second incident at the popular Chicago beach in this week.

Police officers were at the scene of the unusually crowded beach just before 3 p.m. near 1600 N. Lake Shore Dr. Police said the group appeared to be intoxicated.

Fire officials said authorities were called to the scene for an adult battery victim and three sick minors. Four ambulances were requested.

Ambulances took all four to local hospitals, fire officials said. Their conditions were not life-threatening, authorities confirmed.

Police said two adults and one juvenile were arrested at the scene and charges were pending. Details on why they were arrested weren't released.

"I wish the kids were more responsible," said beachgoer Blake Honda. "We were just having fun, playing volleyball, football and these kids are just fighting."

Police were also called to the popular beach on Memorial Day for a large brawl. Video from the scene showed a large group of people fighting for several minutes.
