Peoria Amber Alert Canceled

The 1-year-old and 2-month-old were found in Minnesota unharmed

A statewide Amber Alert issued Thursday afternoon for two small children believed taken from Peoria has been canceled.

Peoria Police said Moriah Milan, 1, and Audermar Peterson, 2 months, were found in Minneapolis, Minn., unharmed. Their 20-year-old, non-custodial mother, Nyway Abbaa, was taken into custody. Charges are expected Friday morning.

Moriah was last seen wearing a green shirt, blue jeans, a green coat and purple or pink Reebok shoes. Audermar was last seen wearing a blue-and-white onesie and a white blanket with blue stars.

Abbaa was traveling in a Green Mercury Wagon with Illinois license plates P487981, police said. She's a black woman weighing about 180 pounds and standing 5-foot-9, last seen wearing a head scarf, a pink shirt and gray pants.

The vehicle was seen traveling north on Hamilton in downtown Peoria.
