Another alligator was discovered in Illinois over the weekend.
The Winnebago County Sheriff’s office said it found a small alligator Saturday evening in Machesney Park, a suburb of Rockford.
The reptile was taken in by animal control, authorities said.
Further information on the creature wasn’t immediately available.
Over the summer, an alligator evaded capture for days in a Chicago lagoon and there were reports of a possible second alligator in the same lagoon days later.
