Eight people were hospitalized on Saturday after they overdosed on narcotics, according to Chicago Police.
All eight people accepted narcotics from an unidentified man driving a 2001 Chevy Impala. Five people were treated and released from local hospitals, but three are still hospitalized in serious condition, according to police.
Meanwhile, activists are handing out fliers near the corner of 79th Street and East End in the wake of the rash of overdoses.
"He knows what he's selling and he knows that it's bad," activist Andrew Holmes said. "I'm telling him it's first-degree murder if any of these people succumb to their injuries."
No arrests have been made in the case, and police are still investigating.
