Teen Boys Tried to Sexually Assault 12-Year-Old Girl in Cragin Alley: Police

Boy stated his intention to rape victim

Four teenage boys attempted to sexually assault a 12-year-old girl last month  in the Cragin neighborhood on the Northwest Side. 

Police said the group approached the girl around 4 p.m. on Sept. 23 in the 2200 block between Laporte and Lamon avenues. 

One of the teens held the victim by her wrists and another attempted to remove her shirt, while two offenders acted as lookouts, police said.  

One teen stated his intention of raping the victim.  

The offenders fled after they heard a car approach.  

One teen was described to be around 14 or 15 years old, 5 foot-5, about 160 pounds, short strawberry blond hair (possibly dyed), brown eyes, and sporting  a black Nike hoodie and black sweatpants.  

Another teen was described to be around 13 or 14 years old, 5-foot-0, about 200 pounds, light complexion, short black hair, brown eyes, glasses, and last seen wearing a red-hooded sweatshirt, a hat, blue sweatpants, and black Air Jordan gym shoes. 

The third teen was believed to be around 14 or 15 years old, 5-foot-9, about 190 pounds, light complexion, short black curly hair, brown eyes, and was last seen wearing a Nike hooded sweatshirt. 

Authorities also said the fourth teen is also believed to be either 14 or 15 years old, 4-foot-0, around 190 pounds, light complexion, short brown hair and brown eyes.
