4 Women Dead in South Side Crash

Accident remains under investigation

Four women died from a crash after their speeding car hit a tree in Englewood early Saturday.

The accident on Garfield Boulevard happened around 2 a.m. A vehicle was traveling west at a high rate of speed when it veered off the road and hit a tree, police News Affairs Officer Hector Alfaro said.

The Cook County medical examiner has not released the names of the victims but did confirm the women were in the 20s and 30s.

Family members identified three of the victims as Jacquelion Hampton, Alicia Landon and Toccara Jones, according to Chicago Breaking News

The woman in her 30s was the driver of the vehicle, according to police.

The Major Accident Investigation Unit is investigating the crash.
