34-Year-Old Man Killed in Motorcycle Accident in Downtown Chicago

A 34-year-old man was killed on Thursday night after the motorcycle he was driving crashed into a car on Lower Wacker Drive.

The accident, which occurred around 4:25 p.m., happened after a motorcyclist disobeyed a red light at the corner of Wacker and Columbus Drive. The motorcycle crashed into a Chevy HHR, according to police. The driver of the motorcycle was taken to Northwestern Hospital, where he was pronounced dead.

The driver of the Chevy, a 68-year-old woman, was taken to Northwestern Hospital with minor injuries. She was listed in good condition, according to police.

The driver of the Chevy was not issued a citation, police said.
