A teenager is dead and two others wounded after being shot Tuesday morning in the West Side Austin neighborhood.
The shooting happened about 11:10 a.m. in the 100 block of North Laporte Avenue, according to Chicago Police. Police said two armed males walked out of an alley and began firing at the teens before fleeing northbound.
One of the victims, a 13-year-old, was shot multiple times in the legs and taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where their condition has stabalized, police said.
The other two teens were taken to Stoger Hospital. One, whose age has not been released, was pronounced dead, police said. The other, a 17-year-old- was shot in the left shoulder and their condition has stabalized, police said.
