3 Injured In Chicago Fire Truck Crash

Three people suffered minor injuries, fire officials said

Three people were injured Wednesday when a Chicago Fire Department truck crashed into another vehicle, officials said.

The truck reportedly t-boned a car in the intersection of Austin Boulevard and Bloomingdale Avenue on the city's Northwest Side, pinning a woman in her car. A mini-van also was struck.

Fire Department spokesman Will Knight said the accident occurred around 11 a.m., and three people were transported to Loyola and West Suburban hospitals with minor injuries.

The cause of the crash remained under investigation late Wednesday.
