3 Teens Shot in Rogers Park

A 13-year-old boy is in critical condition

Three male teens were shot Monday night on a Rogers Park street corner.

Police say a gunman walked up and opened fire on the group around 7:30 p.m. while they stood on a corner near Pratt Boulevard and Ashland Avenue.

A 13-year-old and a 15-year-old were sent to Children’s Memorial Hospital. The 13-year-old was in critical condition, with a gunshot wound to the chest. The 15-year-old received a graze wound to his arm.

The third teen, a 19-year-old man, was taken to St. Francis Hospital in Evanston.

The two older boys were treated and released by Tuesday morning.

Police say at least two of the victims have gang affiliations but aren’t releasing a motive at this time.  They have not been able to get a description of the shooter.
