Three teenage boys face sex abuse charges for allegedly coercing a girl to perform a sex act in a school stairwell.
Prosecutors claim the teens threatened to beat up a friend of the 16-year-old victim if she didn't perform oral sex. The incident happened around 2:30 p.m. last Tuesday at Lincoln Park High School, authorities say.
The three teens were arrested on misdemeanor sex abuse charges.
Jewvon Davis, 19, of the 1300 block of North Cleveland turned himself into police and appeared in court Sunday. Kenneth Esco, 19, of the 1400 block of North Sedgwick, and a 17-year-old juvenile also were arrested, police said.
A spokesperson for Chicago Public Schools said they are cooperating with the police investigation. School is closed today for Lincoln's birthday.
At this point it's unclear whether any security changes will be made in the wake of the incident.
