3 Charged in Fatal Avondale Home Invasion

A 16-year-old boy was killed and his mother critically injured during the home invasion

A man, a teenager and a woman were arrested and charged with killing a 16-year-old boy and critically injuring his mother in an Avondale home invasion this week.

Sean Williams, 33, of the 4800 block of S. Lake Park; Davonta Williams, 17, of the 3700 S. Langley; and Jennifer M. Vojinovic, 27, of the 3300 block of W. Pensacola were each charged with murder, attempted murder, armed robbery, home invasion and three counts of unlawful restraint.

Police said Sean and Davonta Williams walked into the house at 3400 block of N. Lawndale around 8:40 a.m. Tuesday. They gathered the victims into the basement and tied them up with duct tape, demanding money, police said.

They are charged with ransacking the residence and shooting 16-year-old Andre Vasquez and his 33-year-old mother. Vasquez later died, and his mother remains critically injured.

Vojinovic is accused of driving the getaway car, police said.

Officers pulled over the three suspects and arrested them after a witness described the car. All three face a judge Thursday morning.
