3 Arrested After Home Invasion in Grayslake

A fourth suspect remains at large

Police arrested three people late Friday following a home-invasion in Grayslake which gave way to a car chase that ended with a crash.

Around 10:40 p.m., police responded to a call from a person inside the home located in the 1000 block of Manchester Circle reporting an armed robbery, according to Grayslake Police Chief Phil Perlini. The person who placed the call reported three suspects- two armed with handguns and one armed with a bat- breaking into the home through the garage, Perlini said.

Officers on the scene saw a light-colored 2002 Oldsmobile Bravada speeding away from the area with several suspects inside that matched the description provided by the residents, according to a Grayslake Police release.

Police chased the car until it slammed into a pole near the intersection of Atkinson and Brea Loch roads, police said.

The suspects took off running on foot, but three were arrested, police said. A fourth suspect was not in custody early Saturday and is believed to have fled the area.

No one was injured during the incident, police said.

Police are telling residents to be aware of their surroundings and to report any suspicious activity.
