$250K Bond for Naperville Man Charged With Possessing Child Porn

Bond was set at $250,000 for a suburban Naperville man who was arrested at his home Friday and charged with possessing child pornography.

Ryan M. Gutierrez, 29, faces three counts of possession of child pornography, a Class 3 felony, and one count of dissemination of child pornography, a Class X felony, according to a statement from Naperville police.

Gutierrez was arrested when officers executed a search warrant at his home in the 1900 block of Alta Vista Court, police said. He had become the target of a months-long investigation by the High Technology Crimes Unit into file sharing involving images and videos of child pornography.

During the search, investigators found nearly 350 videos involving child pornography, the DuPage County state’s attorney’s office said in a statement.

Judge Robert Rohm set Gutierrez’s bond at $250,000 during a hearing Saturday, prosecutors said. If Gutierrez is able to post bond, Rohm also ordered that he have no computer or Internet access and no contact with children under 18.

His next court appearance is scheduled for Oct. 26, prosecutors said.
