More About Tatyana McFadden: Born in Russia and brought to the U.S. at age five, McFadden was born with a hole in her spine caused by a condition called spina bifida. Despite her immobile lower half, McFadden has won the last four London Marathons and (until this year) Boston Marathons in the wheelchair divison. McFadden has also represented Team U.S.A. at the last four Paralympics, debuting at the 2004 Athens Paralympics at the age of 15.
