2 Men Face Felony Weapons Charges After Crashing Car During Pursuit

Two men are facing felony charges after Chicago police recovered multiple rifles from their car following a brief chase on Friday morning, according to authorities.

Police say that the two men, identified as 32-year-old Dewayne Hill and 25-year-old Jordan Hill, were in a vehicle on Friday when officers responded to a Shotspotter alert in the 6900 block of South Dorchester.

The vehicle that the two men were in matched the description of a wanted vehicle in the shooting, and when officers tried to stop the car, they attempted to flee the scene.

The men’s car then struck a parked car and collided with a tree before coming to a stop.

The two men were later placed into custody, and three rifles, along with additional ammunition were recovered from the car, according to authorities.

Both men are facing felony charges of unlawful use of a weapon, and Jordan Hill is also being charged with failing to have a valid FOID card.
