Two women were killed Saturday when a wrong-way driver crashed into their car on the Eisenhower Expressway near Harlem Avenue, police said.
Illinois State Police said just before 2 a.m. a 2005 red Dodge minivan entered the Eisenhower Expressway going west on the eastbound lanes when it struck a 2001 blue Ford with three women inside.
Briana Resto, 19, of North Lake, and Monica Hernandez, 20, of Maywood, were killed in the crash, according to Illinois State Police.
Police said Resto was the driver of the Ford.
Brittney Mouzon, 20, of Maywood, was also in the car and was taken to an area hospital for treatment but is expected to survive.
Mouzon said Resto tried to swerve out of the way of the wrong-way car, but that the other car swerved the same way.
"Monica was like 'oh my God' and I look and I see the car coming towards us," she said.
Mouzon said the crash happened so fast, she doesn't remember the car flipping over.
"I looked over and I saw Monica and I tried to like shake her to wake her up, but she didn't wake up," Mouzon said with tear-filled eyes. "I loved them."

The driver of the minivan was 20-year-old Miguel Rico, officials said.
Police said they believe the accident was alcohol-related and charges were pending as of Saturday morning.
Rico and his sole passenger, Jose Moreno, 20, were taken to area hospitals for treatment. Their conditions were not immediately known.
Family of Hernandez says the 20-year-old was scheduled to start a new job as an administration assistant, marking her first job out of retail and the service industry.
"Monica was a beautiful young woman taken from us too early," said her uncle Tony Medina.
Medina said the three women were co-workers at a Bakers Square restaurant in Melrose Park.
