A campaign by two local moms aiming to redefine the meaning of “normal” has resonated with thousands.
Colleen King-Berkowitz and Colleen Stine, who own online T-shirt company MamaSaidTees.com, posted the “Let’s Redefine Normal” video to YouTube last week, sharing just how different it is when you ask someone what the word "normal" means to them.
"My name is Kathleen and I have a daughter with Down syndrome," one woman states in the powerful video.
The video has since garnered more than 15,000 views, inspiring many to take to social media with the hashtag #LetsRedefineNormal wearing "normal" T-shirts that are being sold to raise money for bullying prevention.
Even celebrities have joined in, such as "7th Heaven" star Beverley Mitchell.
