2 Girls Robbing Teens on SW Side: Cops

Police warn residents in Chicago's Southwest side about a series of strong arm robberies

Police have issued a community alert in the city's Southwest side after a series of strong arm robberies by two 16-year-old girls.

The first robbery reportedly happened on May 27 around 3:20 p.m. in the 5800 block of South Troy, according to the Chicago Sun-Times.

The two 16-year-old girls approached a 15-year-old girl and snatched a gold necklace from her, the Sun-Times reports.

Reports indicate the teens robbed another 15-year-old girl in a similar manner in the 5500 block of South Mozart.

Both victims were not hurt.
