A man is in serious condition after falling into a deep hole Thursday morning at a water reclamation plant on Chicago's South Side.
He and another man fell into a 20-foot hole at Calumet Water Reclamation Plant, at 400 E. 130th St., said Fire Department spokesman Will Knight.
The Chicago Fire Department responded at 7:30 a.m. to rescue the men.
Paramedics were on the scene giving advanced life support treatment. Both were transported to Christ Hospital. The second man is in stable condition.
The circumstances of the fall are not known.
