2 Critical After CTA Bus Accident

The three car collision sent more than a dozen people to the hospital

Two people in critical condition and 11 others were taken to the hospital after a three vehicle collision involving a CTA bus.

The van hit the bus and then spun off hitting another car.

An EMS Plan I response, which sends at least five ambulances to the scene, was called for the bus accident at Madison and Karlov about 12:25 p.m., according to Fire Media Affairs.

The two who are in critical condition were taken to Mount Sinai Hospital, and the other 11 were taken to area hospitals in fair to serious condition, according to Fire Media Affairs. Another 16 people refused medical treatment, according to dispatch reports.
