2 Boys Disappear From Group Home

Boy claims to work with Latin Kings gang

Two boys disappeared from a Northwest Side group home Sunday morning, police said.

B.J. Peray, 10, is a resident of the group home, located in the 4800 block of North Francisco Avenue. He went missing around 9:30 a.m. according to a Belmont Area missing persons alert.

Another boy, 13-year-old Anycco Rivers, also vanished from the home around the same time.

Both boys have run away from the home on numerous occasions, but police do not believe they left together. They categorized B.J.'s case as "high-risk."

B.J. has claimed to work security for the Latin Kings gang. He was last seen wearing blue uniform pants, a gray shirt and a gray hoodie. He's of Hispanic descent, 4 feet 8 inches tall, weighs 95 pounds, and has black hair and brown eyes.

He is known to frequent Gross Park, 2708 W. Lawrence Ave., according to the alert.

A staff member from the group home believes the second boy, Anycco, usually visits a girlfriend somewhere north of the home. Rivers is black, 5-foot-5, 120 pounds, has brown eyes, black hair and a medium complexion, according to the alert.

It was not known if they are friends of if there is any reason to believe they are together, police said.
