15-Month-Old Taken From Gary Foster Home at Gunpoint Found After Amber Alert Issued

Timothy Jackson Jr. was taken around 11:20 p.m. Monday from a home in the 2200 block of Waite Street in Gary by two men who had their faces covered

A missing 15-month-old baby taken from his foster home at gunpoint has been found just after an Amber Alert was issued Tuesday, police said.

Timothy Jackson Jr. was found safe just before 9 p.m. at an unoccupied home in the 200 block of West Dallas Street.

The Gary Police Department SWAT team was called in to enter the home. Police said the baby was found with his biological parents, both juveniles, in a bedroom of the home.

The child was taken around 11:20 p.m. Monday from a home in the 2200 block of Waite Street in Gary by two men who had their faces covered, according to Gary police.

He was last seen in a T-shirt and diaper and is described as a black & Hispanic boy about 2 feet tall and 25 pounds.

Police believed the baby may have been with his 15-year-old mother Rosalinda Tecaxco and his 17-year-old father Timothy Jackson.

Tecaxco is a ward of the state. Both she and the baby’s father were reported as runaways last week.

Anyone with information on the child’s location is asked to call (219) 880-1210 or 911.
