1 Killed in South Suburban Nightclub Shooting

At about 1 a.m., multiple gunshots rang out at Premium 127 in Blue Island, leaving one man dead and another wounded

A man was killed and another injured outside a south suburban nightclub early Monday morning.

At about 1 a.m., more than a dozen gunshots rang out at Premium 127 in Blue Island, leaving two shot, one fatally, according to police.

Witnesses told authorities the shooting began after a fight that broke out inside the nightclub in the 1800 block of West 127th Street.

Some of the offenders were thrown out in the altercation, according to a security guard, and a short time later, one of them pulled a gun.

One of the victims was reported to be found right outside the bar, and the other down the block. The South Suburban Major Crime Task Force spent five hours investigating the scene Monday morning, closing down surrounding streets.

It is unclear if there was just one person or more opened fire.

No one is in custody as the search for suspects continues.
