1 in Custody After Shots Fired at Police in Brighton Park

At least one person was taken into custody early Wednesday after shots were fired at Chicago Police officers in the Brighton Park neighborhood on the Southwest Side. 

The shots were fired at the officers about 2:10 a.m. in the 2400 block of West 34th Street, according to preliminary information from Chicago Police. 

No injuries were reported, police said. 

A weapon was recovered at the scene and at least one suspect was taken into custody, police said. Additional information was not immediately available.
