Shadow Box With Your Skeletal System

New tech mimics your nervous, skeletal and circulatory systems

Want to get a look on your inside?

New technology allows you to do so.  Step on a spot and all of a sudden your movements are mimicked by a cyber being in front of you.  It's sans clothes and skin; just internal body parts and bones.

It's called the Visible You, and it was inspired by the medical imagine inventors at General Electric, which also owns NBC and NBC Chicago.

So far, the technology has only been on display at the Shanghai World's Fair and at NBC Miami's health fair.  But it'll be available next at NBC Chicago's Healthy Living Challenge, being held at Navy Pier on Saturday and Sunday, June 5th and 6th.

You'll stand on a dot and a very hi-tech motion detector catches your moves and tells the virtual "you" to copy them.  But your other self is also showing a circulatory system, a nervous system, a skeleton and a circulatory system.

GE believes it's a great educational tool designed to motivate people to take care of their bodies with healthy lifestyles.
