February: Love, Chocolate, and snotty noses?

Stuffy noses, coughing, and sneezing, oh my! Winter may be about over, but not the sickness it brings.

February is the biggest month for flu cases in the United States, according to doctors at Loyola University Chicago Stritch School of Medicine, Maywood, Ill.

St. John Fisher, a southwest side Chicago Catholic school, is feeling the pain. This month more than 200 of it's 700 students called in sick because of a flu outbreak.

It's not uncommon. Different strains of influenza can circulate in any season and flu activity can occur as late as May, according to the Centers for Disease Control.

You still have time to get a flu shot. Doctors vaccinate through February.
