Go to There: Build a Small Biz Website in 90 Minutes

Everybody needs a website. It’s not even up for debate. If you’re in business and you want to be found, you need a home on the Internet. This free two-hour session on Sept. 3 at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce (200 E. Randolph St., Ste. 2200) will offer a hands-on guide through that territory, though it will likely be decidedly GoDaddy-centric.

If you aren’t familiar, GoDaddy is an Internet domain registrar and web hosting company, and since this is being run by its Mendel Kruland, the company’s services will be used during the workshop. In fact, the event mentions, “due to time constraints, hosting from other providers isn’t supported.”

So, if you’re interested, you’ll need to bring your laptop, a credit card to register a domain name and a name for your company. Then you’ll walk away with a website to call your own that morning. Not bad if you’re a Luddite or are terrified of doing stuff like this without someone else’s help. Take a look and register over here.
