(Crain’s) — Jeffrey Rein, who retired last week as Walgreen Co.’s chairman and CEO, will continue to receive his $1.2-million annual base salary, bonus, benefits and a company car for the next year. And Mr. Rein’s temporary replacement will draw the same salary as the departed chief.
