Chicago is among the top 10 cities whose residents are regularly behind in filing their federal income tax returns.

The good news is that the city has fallen from the No.1 spot it held last year, the Sun-Times reported. TurboTax's annual list for this year places Chicago at No. 4.
The worst ranking goes to San Francisco, followed by Houston and New York.
Rounding out the top 10 were San Diego, Phoenix, Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas and Las Vegas.
The list was compiled based on the number of tax returns filed online via the TurboTax Online service from April 13 to April 17 last year.
The paper shares tips from TurboTax for last-minute filers, and "last minute" gets closer and closer as we near April 15.
