What You're Doing Tonight: November 19

Turkey Day cooking tips, comic showdown, Warhol's 15 minutes keep ticking.

DON'T BE A TURKEY: Spice Up Your Life, a series of cooking courses at Kendall College, presents "Thanksgiving 101," bringing the turkey dinner down to the basics. Learn tips for buying, thawing, prepping and roasting your bird, in addition to making stuffing, chestnuts, maple-roasted sweet potatoes, cranberry sauce, pumpkin pudding and more. Oh yeah, and you'll be tasting the fruits of your labor accompanied by wine, just like at home. 6PM, $45.

COMEDY CENTRAL: The Chicago Stand-Up Show-Down, an ongoing stand-up comedy competition, comes to a head tonight. The winners of each of the eight weeks of competition will battle it out for $500 and a future headlining gig. At ComedySportz Theatre, 9PM, $10.

POP LIFE: Ponder Andy Warhol's work while sipping Martini & Rossi cocktails inspired by the artist himself at Whiskey Sky in the W Lakeshore. Warhol did an advertising campaign for the vermouth brand back in the '50s, which will be the focus of this exhibition. 6:30PM, no cover.
