What You're Doing Tonight: February 10

On tap for Tuesday: chocolate and beer, the dog show and speed dating

MMM, BEER: Berghoff executive chef Matt Reichel cooks up a creative menu tonight during a "Chocolate and Beer Pairing Dinner" at the legendary Loop restaurant. The five-course meal, which includes such inspired dishes as duck enchiladas with mole sauce and white chocolate panna cotta with balsamic-roasted strawberries, will be paired with beers from the Berghoff brewery. 6:30PM, $45.

BEST IN SHOW: Watch the Westminster Kennel Club Dog Show with other pooch lovers at a viewing party at Uptown's Fat Cat. The event, which is a benefit for Sit, Stay, Read (an organization that uses dogs to help kids learn to read), includes an appetizer buffet, open bar and a silent auction. 7-10PM, $50-$60, $250 for VIP tables of four.

MAKE IT SNAPPY: Take speed dating for a test drive at the "Singles Speed Dating Party" at Salud Tequila Lounge in Wicker Park. Hosted by Date and Dash, the event features fast, three- to eight-minute "dates" with other singles between the ages of 23 and 33. Appetizers will be served, and, hey, don't forget Salud's extensive selection of tequilas. 8:30-10PM, $35, reservations required on the Date and Dash Web site.
