What You're Doing Tonight: December 9

A dating event for nerds, Neil Young live and a musical revue of lawyers

FREAKS AND GEEKS: Meet other sexy smarties at Guthries Tavern in Wrigleyville for the "Dating for Nerds" event. You'll get to mix and mingle (and display your superiority) over board games, trivia contests and a raffle. Registration includes one free drink. 7-10PM, $20 in advance, $25 at the door.

ROCKIN' IN THE FREE WORLD: Catch a living rock legend (and recent Grammy nominee) live tonight at the Allstate Arena when Neil Young takes the stage. The cantankerous rocker is in town on his current plugged-in tour featuring fan favorites like "Hey Hey, My My" and "Cinnamon Girl." 8PM, $50-$250.

WHO ARE WE TO JUDGE? Witness more than 60 singing-and-dancing attorneys, judges and law students (plus a professional band, thank heavens) as the Chicago Bar Association presents "Christmas Spirits: Jury Boys," the 85th annual satirical revue of local and national politicians and the year's noteworthy events (what rhymes with Obama?). At the Merle Reskin Theatre, 8PM, $60.
